You Could Own Ayrton Senna’s Last Go-Kart

As a bit of a racing history buff, I couldn’t help but get nostalgic when Acura showed old footage of Ayrton Senna driving an NSX in their video prior to the reveal of the new version of the Acura sports car at the Detroit Auto Show. While I wasn’t big into F1 back when Senna was around, I definitely was aware of the name. And the recent documentary “Senna” sparked my interest and gave me a new perspective on this form of racing. If you haven’t seen the doc, go do that.

My intrigue into the racing legend recently led to an interesting find – Ayrton Senna’s last go-kart that he raced professionally. This extremely unique piece of racing history is going to be put up for sale on Feb. 5. And from the looks of the sale, you may be able to get your hands on it in the $30,000 price range. While not cheap, it’s about the best you are going to do for something of this historical value. After all, vintage race cars easily go for six figures and beyond.
