The top speed that Ford is putting out there is 165 mph and the car can go from 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. As for non-highway activities, the 2016 Focus RS will be equipped with a DRIFT MODE button, which will appeal to the masses that like to take their hatchbacks on closed courses these days (or not so closed courses). And for the novice manual driver, the car will offer an anti-stall feature where it will start back up after being stalled when the clutch is pressed in.

So yes, we finally get the hatchback of our dreams here in the U.S., instead of slobbering over what other countries get to experience. The revolution away from the traditional sports car is showing no signs of slowing down, and the 2016 Focus RS will do more than its part to keep that momentum going. Who needs a Corvette, anyway?
