Barstool Sports President Attending Daytona 500

Fresh off being kicked out of the Super Bowl where his beloved Patriots won their sixth title, Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy (El Presidente) will be attending the “Super Bowl of Nascar” – the Daytona 500. This news courtesy of a pizza review posted on Barstool’s networks with driver Corey LaJoie.

Portnoy isn’t secretive about not being much of a Nascar fan in the clip, even referring to it as “pretty rednecky.” But, he can at least rest assured that Jim France won’t be seeking him out and having him dragged out of the event.

I mean, they let 50 Cent continue to attend the race after being creep of the year on pit road.

On a serious note, this is a great move by Nascar. We just have to hope that the unpredictable Portnoy enjoys the event. Getting some good press with the Barstool crowd could go a long way for a sport struggling to connect with fans.
