Driving Your Car On A Live Race Track Has Consequences In Britain

Uhh, why is there a Volkswagen Golf on the track? That was the reaction from the TV commentator of a Brand Hatch Circuit race during the summer. And the answer was simple – some idiot drove a street car onto a live track.

While every race fan has likely fantasized about driving on their favorite track alongside their favorite drivers, the fantasy usually involves being inside a race car – not your girlfriend’s Volkswagen. It also doesn’t include your girlfriend in the passenger seat and another friend in the back.

Luckily, this level of stupidity actually has consequences in Britain, as the driver has been sentenced to eight months in jail. In case it wasn’t already obvious, his facebook post under the cool name “Full Throttle Cottle” proves that Mr. Jack Cottle isn’t the sharpest pencil in the box.
